A great experience, I would highly recommend it! Tutors were really helpful and encouraging, I never thought I would be able to create something and bring it home. Seriously considering to attend more workshops in the future!

Amazing!! Had such a fun afternoon learning to throw and making some cool little ceramics. Really good value for money and Nam was a really great teacher. Definitely keen to go back and do one of the workshops he runs.

Good time, but we were too many people, 15 in total and we ended up using the lathe only 1 hour out of 2.
  4. Rated 4 out of 5
Good, friendly staff on hand to help and we could make as many pieces as we wanted within the timeframe. It was a bit overcrowded when we went and too many students per staff and not enough equipment e.g only had 1 pot of glue between about 15 of us. However a fun, creative experience and would go again. Power cut to the building so we will go back for the wheel part.

Great experience. Power cut to the building so going back for the wheel portion but the hand sculpting was a lot of fun (and very relaxing). Would go again 100%. The people hosting were super friendly and helpful.

Had a great time, Nam was amazing! But was disappointed we didn't throw pottery for the whole two hours. Also we were charged £3 per glazed item... but this says two "

Had an amazing time at the Art in the Park studio! Nam is a fantastic host with a great energy; he's very willing to help and offer advice. My pottery skills may still need (a lot of) work but I'll definitely be booking with Creoate again!

I had such a great time learning to throw and hand build pottery - both the instructors were very helpful when crafting and gave me guidance when needed. They also showed me different ways to decorate them and I could explore many ways of crafting my own pot

I really enjoyed the whole experience, Nam and Susie were both lovely teachers and it was great that we got to experience wheel throwing and hand building.

I thoroughly enjoyed the pottery class. It was very relaxed, and the tutor was great! It was a therapeutic couple of hours, and I can't wait to get my pots back in a couple weeks!

I totally enjoyed this session and would highly recommend it! This was a really cool introduction to ceramics, I didn't think I would be able to do much in a couple of hours but the guys were great, supportive and encouraging, and I ended up with two lovely pieces. Only improvement I would suggest it to maybe run the workshop for three hours instead as I felt the final bit around coiling was tight time wise. But overall a great experiece, would love to do more!

It was a great experience. Perhaps too short time or too many people. I felt to have to rush to finish the items but I was also told that it was good to do it on a slow pace. For the glazing we paid an extra £3 and not £2 so it should be corrected on your page. Overall a good workshop and I will look into taking a longer one, but will check before the size of the class.

It was a lovely experience. Coiling and throwing on the motored wheel. My friends and I loved it

It's cheaper than therapy and just as calming! And you get a one of a kind wonky piece of art at the end of it to remind you that sometimes you need to slow down and have some fun with some mud.  Great tutor. He was clear, went at a good speed and encouraged you to try something different. Loved the emphasis on slowing down and letting your inner potter come out!! Recommend. Could have done this for hours...

Loved the taster session! It was well organised and split between throwing and coiling which was interesting to learn different techniques. Signed up to their 4 week course after as loved it so much!

Me and my partner did the afternoon session yesterday, and we had the absolute best time! Such good value for such a good teacher, and we got to experiment with hand coiling and using the wheel. In the space we had (2 hours), we each ended up with 3 great vessels each.
Really recommend this session - such a fun thing to do on a weekend!

My friends and I were 'bowled' over by Nnams and this pottery class. Nam was a great instructor, educating us about all things pottery & pottery philosophy. He gave really easy step by step instructions on how to shape clay and throwing on the wheel. Learning how to do pottery was a great bonding experience with my friends and Nam offered a really good structured session in which to do this. Nam also offered for us to a private session which was amazing of him and made it even more special. Recommend this class to everyone interested wanting to make a start with pottery.

Nam and susie are lovely teachers! Using the wheel and the guidance of Nam has really sparked a new hobby for me. I was suprised at how relaxing and exciting it can be - listen to Nam's every word, I MADE A BOWL. Thank you creoate!

Nam and the team were excellent. Very efficient and great teachers, impressed with the whole event. Thank you so much, everyone had a great time.

Nam and the team were great and very skilled. Really clear instructions. Good class size. We got to try two different techniques and most, if not all, were able to make something they wanted to take home. Great starter class to get you into ceramics.

Nam is a good "coach", everything is clearly explained and i feel like learning a new sport. Two hours is very short for a ceramic class and to create anything that's worth to keep, as he said it takes 8-10 hrs of practice to pick up the throwing skill, but it definitely served the purpose of a tasting class in ceramic.

Nam was a great teacher so good that we actually had some pottery to take home with us!!! Highly recommended!

Nam was just brilliant at inspiring and teaching his students and everyone enjoyed themselves.
I'm really looking forward to seeing my creations glazed and picking them up soon!!

Not enough tools, only one pot of glue per table. However attentive staff. Could have also been given more guidance on making individual pieces. However a fun and worthwhile experience with friendly people.

Really enjoyed the lesson. it's basic enough that you will definitely get something made but also give you different flavors of things. Recommend it!

Really nice experience for a tasting pottery class. Nam and Susie are very kind and patient and you get to create as many pieces as you want within the two hours. Recommended!

The perfect introduction to pottery. Took my family w teens. We had a fab time and all made something which we left behind for glazing. Nam and Susie are great - very knowledgable and helpful.

The workshop was ok but no better. For starters the workshop was only supposed to have 6 people but they had accidentally manage to oversell and there were 11 of us. We started late because Nam hadn't turned up and the women running the class didn't have the keys. The two women running the class were very nice and said they'd just run the class a bit longer but then half way through another women came in and said the class had to end at the original end time (despite starting late) because another class was coming. This meant that the second half was very short, with just 25m actually using the wheel. Not only this but I didn't think the instructor on the wheel was very clear in her instruction, we didn't really feel like we knew why we were doing what we were asked and rather than being allowed to try it out the instructor and the woman who had came in late seemed to be keen to just do the job for us in a bid to get us finished in time. I was well aware this was a taster course but I don't think it was well facilitated. The hand building actually ended up being the more enjoyable part, with a better instructor and a clearer understanding of why we were doing what we were doing, the second half was a bit of a mess.

This class started so well.  Nam was our instructor (from the Great Pottery Throw Down program) and for the first two weeks taught an enthusiastic group of learners.  However, Nam did not show up for week three (he was supposed to) and we were left with an instructor with little experience.  Our fourth week was focused on glazing and at an almost impossible to find other location.  Most of the pieces I had thrown did not make it from the first studio.  Our instructor was new to pottery herself and while enthusiastic, we were simply left to paint odd bits of pottery.  And when a few weeks later we collected that pottery, again it was all in a jumble.  Thank goodness my friend and I took pictures of the pieces we glazed.  And finally, glazes were marked incorrectly so I ended up with some horrid colour combinations.  I would not recommend this course to anyone.

This class was absolutely brilliant. Nam was really helpful and I feel like I learnt so much in 2 hours. I was left with three things to take home! 5 stars!!

This place is great! I loved it so much! The pottery making was fun and it was relaxing when we were throwing on a wheel . Nam was kind enough to let us walk his pug boss with my french bulldog Nala before the workshop. I enjoyed everything we did even though half of the things i made was very weird, i made a groot (Guardians of the Galaxy pot. I am 12 years old and i recommend this workshop, by the way, I was the youngest one there but still enjoyed it. I love this workshop so so so so so so so so so so much and i love the way it is in a park and all the clay is recyclable. this is how much they care about everyone and everything. DOGS ARE ALLOWED! I truly do recommend this to everyone.

This was a brilliant experience and great Christmas gift. We had a fantastic time and would highly recommend this experience to anyone looking to dabble with pottery. A big thank you Nam for being a top notch instructor who promoted a positive vibe for the entire session.

This was a wondrous afternoon. Such good value - we tried to make pots on the wheel, and it was amusing and challenging at the same time. The teacher was so professional and full of humour. I fell in love with working with ceramics.

This was an amazing afternoon with my partner!  Such good value - we got to try hand coiling pots and going on the wheel, and ended up with 3 pots each to glaze and take home. Nan was a great teacher - so professional and full of humour. We really loved it and highly recommend!

Throw Pottery Over British Afternoon Tea
The booking process was straight forward and fairly simple. It was a bit of a battle to find the place as it is very hidden. They could really do with better signage and better instructions via email when confirming the booking. The high tea was not so much  a high tea but more biscuits and crisps - which was a slight disappointment as we didn't eat lunch prior due to the fact that we paid for high tea which ended up not being high tea at all. Having said all of the above, the girls were really friendly and knowledgeable and really helped us to create some "master pieces " . We had an opportunity to do coiling and throwing on the motored wheel.
The only thing worth mentioning (which they could probably add to the booking confirmation aswell) is that there is an extra charge for the baking and glazing of the pieces you make payable on the day and only in cash, you also have to go back in a few weeks to collect it. Which is all fine - but worth mentioning before you arrive so that you are fully informed and prepared.
This was an average experience, pity because it has the potential to be really great with a bit more organizing and better planning.

Very poor experience. I had booked a class for my hen party and we all arrived as scheduled. Nam didn't show up and didn't answer any of my calls or texts when we were waiting for the class to begin. I still have no explanation for why he was a no-show when it had been confirmed earlier in the week. This was extremely disappointing as we were given no prior notice that the class was cancelled and had all travelled to get there on time.  However, Creoate's service has been exceptional and they are refunding us for this class.

We had a great time! We had a really small group, which meant plenty of help from Nam and the other professionals. We tried both coiling and the wheel, and looking forward to seeing pieces when they're fired.

We had the absolute best time at this class (it was a corporate booking) and would do it again in a heartbeat. The class was well structured and our group of 20 had enough space and support for everyone to do their own thing. Nam & the assistants were supportive, patient, and ready to help everyone to create what they wanted. Each of us walked away having created a few pieces of ceramics and we can't wait to pick them up in 2 weeks to see them all glazed & beautiful. I've heard a few from our group are looking to take up classes in the future as they loved it so much. Highly recommend!
